What will the weather be like on the day I visit your park?

     

Answer

Unfortunately weather is not something we can predict or expect. In some cases we may have a general idea of what the weather will be like several days before you visit us, but again always remember when it come to the weather you know about as much as we do.
     
Question Will I need tire chains to get to your park?
     
Answer It is ALWAYS a great idea to carry tire chains before you visit any winter recreational park. Always check your chains for broken links and accurate size before you start your trip. There is always a chance, depending on the weather the day of your trip that you may need to use chains. Note, If your vehicle is 4WD or AWD you will not need chains.  For the most current road info please visit the Caltrans website.
     
Question  When does Leland High Sierra Snowplay first receive snow during the year?
     
Answer Historically, we open our doors around the middle of December. In past years we have opened as early as November. Although    this is not usually the case. Always remember, when it come to the weather you know about as much as we do.
   
Question Are dogs allowed in the park?
   
Answer Unfortunately, due to health and safety regulations, dogs are not allowed inside the park. Please DO NOT bring your dogs as they will have to be left inside your vehicle.

Question Can I bring my own Equipment to slide on?

Question Can I bring my own food into the park?
   
Answer Guests are welcome to bring their own food into the park, or may also decide to purchase from our reasonably priced snack bar menu. 
   
Question Can I BBQ anywhere around the park?
   
Answer Unfortunately for safety reasons, we do not allow any BBQ grills or campfires anywhere around the park. We appreciate your continued cooperation.
   
Question Does Leland High Sierra Snowplay sell apparel like gloves and boats etc?
   
Answer Yes, we do sell an assortment of apparel items such as men's/women's/children's boots, gloves, snow pants and beanies. 
   
Question Does Leland High Sierra Snowplay have overnight accommodations i.e. lodging available?
   
Answer Unfortunatly we do not have lodging available on our property. Click Here! to find out what local lodging we would recommend.
   
Question What is the elevation of the park?
   
Answer The elevation of Leland High Sierra Snowplay is 6300 feet above sea level.
   
Question Do I have to pay for parking?
   
Answer We provide plenty of free parking to all our guests.
   
Question How should I prepare for my trip to Leland High Sierra Snowplay?

Question Does Leland High Sierra Snowplay make snow?
   
Answer Currently we do not make snow. Although we are planning on installing snow making equipment in the future.
   
Question If I am not going to sled down the hill, but I will be inside the lodge do I still have to purchase a ticket?
   
Answer All guests who wish to adventure out onto the Snowplay hill require a pass. If a guest stays inside the lodge or out on the sundeck but is not planning on walking out onto the snow, a pass is not required.
